What Does An AC Installation Entail?
What an installation requires depends on what type of installation it is. It can either be a new install or an AC replacement. A completely new AC install like in a new home will require more to get installed because there is equipment required that doesn't already exist.
For example, a base or platform for an outdoor unit, evaporator coils for an indoor unit, refrigerant lines, electrical connection, ductwork and condensate drain.
To install an AC system where there was already one set up is a little different. We don't need to set up all the completely new pieces of equipment but we do need to inspect and review what is there to make sure it is sufficient for the new system.
We would complete an assessment of the area where the new unit will be to make sure that it is safe, look at the old unit and its location to make sure that we can remove it, and inspect the existing ductwork to make sure it will all work with the new system and if it needs any modifications.
